To sustain the organization’s scaling efforts, the Powerful Learning Team is building a talent pipeline as we strive to engage 30 million learners in powerful learning experiences. We are recruiting mid-level to senior-level specialized experts to fill part-time and/or term-limited positions. Responsibilities/Qualifications
Contract Content Area Specialist: We seek candidates who are well-versed in the intersection of pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge across core disciplines. This role ensures our professional learning experiences are rooted in subject-matter accuracy and current instructional best practices. Ideal candidates will have:
- Disciplinary Expertise: Deep pedagogical and content knowledge in one or more core disciplines: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies.
- Technology Integration (TPACK): Strong understanding of how to thoughtfully integrate instructional technologies to amplify learning, deepen content mastery, and increase student engagement.
- Standards Alignment: Experience evaluating and aligning educational content, curricula, and instructional strategies to current national and state standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, C3 Framework).
- Collaborative Development: Ability to partner closely with learning designers and facilitators to ensure content accuracy, academic rigor, and pedagogical soundness in all materials and professional learning sessions.
Candidates should be prepared to showcase past design projects, demonstrate their facilitation skills, and speak to the impact and outcomes achieved in past experiences. Proficiency in relevant design tools and strong presentation skills are essential.

These are project-based contractor positions. We are building a bench of talented professionals who can be deployed as projects arise. Completing our selection process qualifies you for our contractor network, with assignments made based on project requirements and contractor availability. Please note that passing the interview stage does not guarantee immediate or ongoing work.

Working Conditions
Digital Promise Global is a hybrid organization. The position is primarily working in a remote environment. Employees are expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Additional travel may be required based on role and responsibilities.
Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast-paced working environment. Extensive computer usage and online engagement & communication. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.
Compensation
In order to ensure that contractors are paid fairly, the Powerful Learning Team leverages standard rates to pay contractors based on the seniority level required for the role. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and project scope. Specific rates will be discussed during the interview process.
Hourly Rate: $40 - $65/ hour, depending on experience and project
