Delivery Driver Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized Delivery Driver Supervisor to join our growing logistics and delivery associate team. This individual will support the daily operations of the company, helping to ensure adherence to policies and processes, streamline processes, complete Amazon routes as a Driver when needed, and directly manage delivery associates. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving, developing talent, issue resolution and performance management. And a desire to learn and grow in the field of operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Assist in managing day-to-day operational tasks to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and propose solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Financial Management: Support in monitoring the amount of money the fleet managers spend on maintenance and repairs and coordinate with the fleet managers to maintain optimal levels of spending on fleet related expenses.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with station team members to ensure alignment on requirements.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports to provide insights into operational performance. Create and execute on remediation plans to address and deficiencies in KPIs.
  • Delivery Associate Support: Assist in addressing inquiries from Delivery Associates and resolving operational issues that arise from poor Delivery Associate performance.
  • Deliver Amazon routes as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and Amazon requirements.
  • Budget Assistance: Work with senior management to track overtime hours, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Project Management: Assist with planning and executing projects aimed at improving overall operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Relations: Help in managing workstreams with third party companies such as post-accident drug screening, obtaining accident reports from local law enforcement agencies, workplace injury documentation, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum: 1 years of direct people management experience.

Preferred: Experience leading a team of at least 15 individuals.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
