IT Support Engineer

<p><strong>Location:</strong> Raleigh, NC (Onsite – Monday through Friday)</p><p><br></p><p>Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to join the IT Support team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is ideal for a Tier 2/Tier 3 support professional with strong experience in endpoint management, technical troubleshooting, and employee support within a fast-paced enterprise environment. This position is fully onsite and focused on maintaining operational excellence across endpoint, collaboration, and office IT infrastructure.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Highlights: </strong></p><ul><li>Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for endpoint devices, collaboration tools, and office IT infrastructure.</li><li>Manage endpoint deployment, device compliance, patching, and configuration standards across the region.</li><li>Support and improve Microsoft Teams and meeting room technology reliability.</li><li>Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning/deprovisioning and equipment setup.</li><li>Maintain office technology standards including printers, A/V systems, and meeting room devices.</li><li>Utilize modern endpoint management tools such as Intune to monitor compliance and performance.</li><li>Support identity and access management (IAM) processes and security-related initiatives.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while reducing repeat incidents through process improvements and documentation.</li><li>Develop automation scripts for reporting, configuration management, and operational efficiencies.</li><li>Collaborate with Security and Network teams to respond to alerts and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Engage with hardware and software vendors and contribute to ongoing IT projects and technology initiatives.</li><li>No travel or on-call responsibilities required during the contract period.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Associate degree or equivalent professional IT experience required.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.</li><li>Experience providing Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support in enterprise environments.</li><li>Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Certification or equivalent technical certification preferred.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SaaS applications, and cloud-based administration tools.</li><li>Proficiency with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Admin Centers, Intune, and endpoint configuration management.</li><li>Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic routing/switching concepts.</li><li>Familiarity with security best practices including MFA, BitLocker, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender.</li><li>Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools and ITSM/ticketing systems.</li><li>Exposure to ITIL/ITSM practices; experience with Freshservice is a plus.</li><li>Experience with PowerShell scripting and basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash preferred.</li><li>Exposure to Zero Trust Architecture (ZTNA), SASE environments, or NIST-compliant environments is a plus.</li><li>Strong communication skills with a customer-focused and collaborative approach.</li><li>Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><p>• Target pay range: $35–$40/hour based on experience and qualifications.</p>
