Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!<br><br><strong>Why you'll love this job<br><br></strong>The American Airlines Credit Union is seeking a bilingual, adaptable <strong>Loan Officer</strong> dedicated to building long‑term member relationships by aligning member needs with Credit Union products, services, and lending solutions.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Provide coverage to AACU branches in and out of state. This means traveling with little to no notice and potential overnights. </li><li> Process new loan applications, which includes interviewing the member, analyzing credit reports and documentation and offering the best product to meet member needs</li><li>Exercise lending authority to correctly handle all loan requests, including but not limited to consumer loans</li><li>Create and promote positive name recognition for the Credit Union </li><li>Support or speak publicly at special Credit Union events</li><li>Work with branch/department managers and staff to identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities</li><li>Research member inquiries and provide solutions as required in a timely manner</li><li>Maintain awareness of all branch functions and duties to ensure proper support and coverage is provided at all times</li><li>Implement and enforce internal control and security measures in accordance with Credit Union policies and government regulations</li><li>Foster a culture that promotes teamwork, service excellence and relationship building</li><li>Handle responsibilities of a Member Services Representative as needed</li><li>Perform Notary Services as required</li><li>Travel to various branch locations nationally to provide coverage</li><li>May work a rotating Saturday schedule depending on job location</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li><li>The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.<br><br></li></ul><strong>All you'll need for success<br><br></strong><strong>Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> High school diploma or GED</li><li>Must be able to work in-person at assigned branch location</li><li>Must have strong working background in a financial institution and relevant consumer loan processing or underwriting experience within the last twelve months</li><li>Job level to be determined by the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience</li><li>Must be bilingual in Spanish (read, speak and write) </li><li>Comfortable with traveling with little to no notice to cover AACU branches in and out of state. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, related area, or equivalent financial services experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions</li><li>Lending and sales-culture envronment experience<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills, Licenses & Certifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software</li><li>Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable</li><li>Ability to exercise excellent member service skills</li><li>Ability to perform in a sales-culture environment with a desire to cross sell Credit Union products and services</li><li>Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team</li><li>Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members</li><li>Ability to speak, read, and write in English is required; Spanish is a plus</li><li>Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision</li><li>Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data</li><li>Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines</li><li>Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends</li><li>Ability to travel overnight</li><li>Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance</li><li>Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You'll Get<br><br></strong>Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:<br><br><ul><li>Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
