Operations Manager – Lake and Landscaping Maintenance

We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead and support daily field operations for our Central Texas branch. This role is responsible for overseeing crews scheduling work maintaining service quality managing equipment and resources and ensuring projects are completed safely efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in fast-paced outdoor operations leads by example communicates effectively with both field employees and customers and is willing to jump in and assist crews as needed.

Location: San Marcos TX

Salary Range: $60000 - $75000

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for lake maintenance landscaping and related field services
  • Manage and support field crews to ensure productivity quality and safety expectations are met
  • Coordinate scheduling routing staffing and equipment allocation for multiple crews and job sites
  • Conduct regular site visits and field inspections to monitor work quality and customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Train and coach employees on safe work practices equipment use and customer service standards
  • Monitor labor hours materials usage and operational efficiency to help control costs and improve performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies environmental regulations and safety standards
  • Oversee maintenance and accountability of company vehicles trailers boats tools and equipment
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning hiring performance management and operational improvements
  • Maintain strong communication between field operations management and customers
  • Step in during staff shortages peak workload periods or urgent service situations

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in landscaping lake/pond management irrigation or related outdoor service operations
  • Prior leadership or operations management experience overseeing multiple crews and projects
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping equipment lake maintenance practices herbicide application and field operations
  • Ability to lead in a hands-on environment and work alongside crews when necessary
  • Strong organizational problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing schedules labor hours and operational priorities
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain slopes and pond embankments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to operate trucks trailers mowers boats sprayers and other field equipment safely
