About the Role

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring production of merchandise meets the established standards of Disney quality including reliability, usability, integrity and performance. The QA Analyst manages product quality and carries out troubleshooting with suppliers, collaborates with internal project partner and provides technical support to resolve quality issues occurred. The QA Analyst assists and supports the company's direction in managing suppliers to continuous improvement of Disney quality standards, validation process and verification activities while meeting local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts technical audit and identify quality check (QC) process issues at factory as needed, helps supplier to work on the improvement to mitigate quality risk in production aiming to secure on-time delivery and high-quality standard to protect Disney brand.
  • Drives supplier to work on root cause analysis and corrective action; develop, recommend and monitor correction and preventive action in regards to production quality improvement. Review and validate the implementation throughout issue closure.
  • Conducts and carries out onsite inspection for finished products to ensure production quality meets Disney standards.
  • Manages 3rd party consultants to perform quality assurance inspection for Disney product, monitor and leverage 3rd party consultant's service to best manage the gating of product's quality from Disney suppliers.
  • Provides update and reporting out of supplier quality issue and communicate outcome of quality activities to QA manager and project stakeholders.
  • Analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement in factory quality management system.
  • Supports leadership to manage the deliverables of the development of short and long-term quality strategies for managed suppliers, setting priorities, objectives, and action plans to mitigate risk with measurable accountability.
  • Provides quality training to factory for continuous manufacturing process optimization and quality management system improvement.
  • Co-works closely with internal and external partners for quality communication and problem solving, host meeting with cross function teams and build up strong relationships and mutual trust at work.
  • Engages from early design review through sample development from manufacturability perspective, provide QC inputs, suggestions and solutions to internal and external teams to mitigate quality risk in mass production.
  • Participates in QA program and/or quality improvement initiatives to reduce finished product rejects/complaints, support management team to achieve supplier quality performance targets and quality improvement goals.
  • Travels domestically and internationally to our managed suppliers for quality management tasks.

  • Reports out and consults with Manager, QA to make appropriate recommendations and set timetable for improvement and corrections for suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and/or the related scopes
  • Consumer product or industry-specific experience
  • Prior experience in multinational environment is a plus
  • Proficient in English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements globally
Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/education combination
