[Remote] Apprentice Product Researcher

They are seeking an Apprentice Product Researcher to work with Product Researchers and teams on high-impact projects while using qualitative research methods to understand user needs.


Responsibilities

  • Work alongside other Pinterest Product Researchers and key partners on our Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams on a high-impact project
  • Use qualitative research methods, such as usability evaluations, individual interviews, and diary studies, to understand user needs and product opportunities
  • Collaborate with an assigned mentor who will help you navigate the expectations associated with being an Product Researcher at Pinterest
  • Leverage AI tools to optimize your workflow and to make cross-functional collaboration more productive and efficient
  • Continually grow through various learning and development opportunities

Skills

  • Professionals from non-tech backgrounds, including but not limited to: research bootcamp grads, candidates who are self-taught, and those who do not hold a related degree or professional experience in Product Research roles
  • Self-motivated and proactive professionals pursuing a career in the tech industry who are curious to learn what it's like to work and succeed as a Product Researcher at Pinterest
  • Has a learner and builder mindset: Able to quickly onboard to emerging AI tools and implement them appropriately in the full product development process with a focus on decision quality, craft and efficiency
  • Demonstrated knowledge of qualitative research methods
  • Apprentices are expected to work full-time during business hours. As such, students currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program are not eligible for this position
  • For this role, applicants must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • 1+ years of experience working collaboratively and clearly communicating in a professional work environment
