We are seeking individuals qualified to work as a<strong> Research Nurse </strong>to support the mission of the <strong>National Institutes of Health (NIH), NIMH.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>This is a long-term contract position which offers:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit package</li><li>Optional health, vision, and dental plans</li><li>Vacation leave as well as 10 paid federal holidays and 401K plan.</li><li>Access to NIH’s unparalleled resources and niche scientific initiatives</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties Include:</strong></p><p>-Facilitate screening patients for the projects that focus on adolescents with major depressive disorder.</p><p>-Screen for studies on Major Depression.</p><p>-Respond to parents and teens who contact NIMH expressing interest in research participation; explain the nature of the research studies; provide guidance on how to complete preliminary screening using secure, on-line methods or hardcopy responses to screening questions; provide log-in passwords and review files to ascertain that questionnaires have been completed.</p><p>- Contribute to all study related IRB and regulatory matters, including all reporting requirements (including deviations, unanticipated problems, adverse events) and report issues and variance promptly to the research team.</p><p>-Participate in direct patient care, in coordination with interdisciplinary team and specific team members to create and communicate a plan of care that balances clinical care needs with research.</p><p>- Obtain and record complete health histories and conduct physical assessments; communicate data from these and other sources.</p><p>- Manage clinical and research support activities to ensure patient safety and address the clinical needs of the patients.</p><p>- Review findings from assessments and other sources in clinical rounds</p><p>- Review charts to collect relevant clinical data such as laboratory test results and social background.</p><p>- Complete medical and psychiatric assessments of potential participants in multiple research protocols by collecting and reviewing past and present medical records and conduct interviews with research applicants and their families.</p><p>- Conduct family interviews to obtain comprehensive understanding of the care needs of the patient.</p><p>- Continually assess ongoing understanding of the research process for patients and families</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Certifications & Licenses</strong></p><p>RN License- Active and Unencumbered</p><p>CPR certification</p><p>Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution</p><p>Minimum 3 years of experience</p><p><br></p><p><strong>PLEASE APPLY ONLINE</strong></p><p>When you apply, please know a Kelly Government Solutions Recruiter will review your resume and will contact you directly, if your skills and experience match the requirements of this position; a full job description can be made available at that time.</p><p><br></p><p>Due to the high volume of inquiries, we regret that we cannot accept phone calls.
