Join us and help us grow.<br><br>As a trusted customer advocate, the Solutions Architect will help retail organizations within the Retail, Restaurants & Consumer Goods (RRCG) vertical understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate and modernize existing workloads to the cloud. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for some of the most innovative and demanding retail companies in the world.</li><li> You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, from high-availability online and store systems to real-time inventory and AI-driven personalization, so you can make contributions to deep architecture discussions.<br><br></li></ul>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Ensure success in building and migrating ecommerce applications, platforms, and services onto AWS — including commerce engines, digital experience layers, fulfillment systems, and data pipelines.</li><li> As part of the RRCG account management team, formulate and execute a technical strategy aligned to the unique growth and transformation goals of East Coast ecommerce customers.</li><li> Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS for retail and ecommerce workloads, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for peak-traffic resilience, cost efficiency, and rapid innovation.</li><li> Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to ecommerce customers considering or already using AWS — covering topics such as GenAI-powered personalization, real-time analytics, and cloud-native commerce architectures.</li><li> Capture and share best-practice knowledge across the AWS Solutions Architect community, with a focus on ecommerce and retail patterns.</li><li> Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, workshops, and reference architectures tailored to the RRCG vertical.</li><li> Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders at East Coast ecommerce companies to enable them to become cloud advocates and accelerate their digital transformation.</li><li> Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS service engineering teams, and support — advocating for ecommerce-specific product needs and roadmap priorities.<br><br></li></ul>A day in the life<br><br>The Retail, Restaurants & Consumer Goods (RRCG) Solutions Architecture team partners with some of the most innovative ecommerce and retail companies on the East Coast. Your morning might start with a customer architecture review, helping a major retailer design a peak-season scaling strategy on AWS. By midday, you're collaborating with your account team on a proposal for a D2C brand exploring AI-driven personalization. Afternoons bring deep-dive whiteboarding sessions, internal knowledge sharing, or contributing to a retail reference architecture. You close the day connecting with a senior engineering leader, building the trust that turns customers into cloud advocates. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
